Windward High School offers an array of clubs and sports. Windward students are also eligible to participate in Ferndale High School competitive sports and clubs.

A Ferndale School District Activity Bus is available to transport Ferndale School District students home after hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The Activity Bus leaves Windward at 4:15 pm.

Each quarter Windward offers recreational sports after-school 1 to 2 times a week based on the current interests of students. Popular recreational sports at WHS include soccer, ultimate frisbee, flag football, indoor or outdoor volleyball, and basketball!  WHS Recreational Sports is supervised by a coach in a fairly structured format and is open to beginners and experts alike.  We celebrate our improvements with student vs. staff games at our weekly community meetings.

MBCLUBMountain Bike Club

Advisor:  Mr. Ritchie

Under the auspices of the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, we meet in the winter and spring after school and on the weekends to hone mountain bike skills, ride local trails, and develop a sense of community with members of the Whatcom Composite High School Mountain Bike Team of which this club is an integral part, and prepare for riding in the league’s 4 race series. All skill levels welcome. Racing is NOT a requirement. Students need to provide transportation to and from trailheads in Bellingham, mostly Whatcom Falls Park and near Lake Padden, and races you choose to participate in. A trail-worthy mountain bike is helpful. We’ll help find you a bike to use if you don’t have one.
