Ferndale High School Student Emily Harting is Ferndale Kiwanis Student of the Month for March

Senior Emily Harting was honored yesterday by Ferndale Kiwanis as Student of the Month for March. Emily is a Ferndale High School Honor student. She is involved in a number of activities including FFA and DECA. At the presentation, she noted that both FFA and DECA have helped hone her leadership skills.

Emily gives back to her community. She is a volunteer with S.H.I.F.T. Foods and Salt on the Street. Also, she works part-time at two local businesses.

After graduating from high school this spring, Emily plans to attend Gonzaga University majoring in human physiology in order to pursue a career as a physician’s assistant.

Emily’s parents are Mark and Kristina Harting.
