Horizon Students donate to KnittedKnockers.org

Last October a group of Horizon Middle School students decided to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month by holding a “Pink Day.” Almost all students were able to participate by wearing pink and the students raised $115 to donate to KnittedKnockers.org, a worldwide organization of volunteers who knit soft prosthetics for women who have had breast cancer.

On January 11, KnittedKnockers.org founder, Barb Demorest visited the school to meet the girls who organized the event and donation.
