Ferndale High Principalship Open

Ferndale School District announces it has an opening for the principalship of Ferndale High School.

Earlier today, Ferndale High School Principal Jeff Gardner announced that he has been offered and accepted the principalship of Auburn High School in Auburn, Washington. He will be leaving Ferndale at the end of this school year. Mr. Gardner has been the principal at Ferndale High School for the past two years. “Leaving FHS is not an easy decision. Too many great reasons to mention. As I shared with our staff, my decision really is a ‘seasons of life’ decision. My parents are getting to a point where being proximal to them is becoming more of a personal priority. Family must come first and this is something I know I’ll never regret,” said Principal Gardner.

“Jeff has done good work at Ferndale, and he has been a good teammate. We are extremely grateful for the service Jeff provided to the students in our district. He will be missed, but I am happy for him to be able to take advantage of this new opportunity,” said Superintendent Linda Quinn.

  • The first review of applications will take place May 30.
  • Interviews will be held June 6.
