Earlier this month, the Northwest County Equestrian Cooperative took first place at the state competition. Now, they move on to regionals which is set for the end of this week—June 2-4. They will compete against teams from both Washington and Oregon in drill team, relay team and trail.

The cooperative is comprised of students from high schools in our county: Bellingham, Ferndale, Lynden, Meridian, Mount Baker, Nooksack Valley, Sehome and Squalicum. The team has a total of 19 members. The team participates in Washington High School Equestrian Team (WASHET) events. http://www.wahset.info/
