On Saturday March 26 Cascadia, Central, Custer, Eagleridge and Skyline Elementary students participated in the San Juan Music Educators Association (SJMEA) Annual Elementary Concert along with students from several other schools in Whatcom, Skagit, Island and San Juan counties.
Music teachers at each school taught their choir students the same five songs and the Star Spangled Banner. On Saturday, the groups spent the day rehearsing together and in the afternoon they performed in a concert for a full house at the Ferndale High School Gymnasium. At the end of the concert, the students received a standing ovation.
