May 23, 2017 We want to inform you that there was a fire in the kitchen area at Windward High School this afternoon, May 23. It occurred at approximately 2:14 p.m. and began in a microwave oven. District and City Partner on Emergency Exercise

Safety continues to be a priority for Ferndale School District and the City of Ferndale. Last Friday, May 19, the district, in partnership with the City of Ferndale, Ferndale Police and Whatcom Unified, conducted its fourth table-top training exercise of this school year. Ferndale Schools Increases Counseling Services

Ferndale School District will be adding three elementary counselors to our district team for the 2017-2018 school year. During the most recent economic recession when school district budgets were significantly reduced, the decision was made in Ferndale to assign as many staff as possible to classrooms.
