Asst. Principal Schroeder Leaving the District

Ms. Julie Schroeder, assistant principal at Vista Middle School will be leaving the district at the end of this school year. Julie started with the district when she did her student teacher internship at Vista from August 1999 to March 2000. That fall, the district hired Julie as a physical education teacher at Mountain View Elementary School. In 2013, Julie applied for and was hired for the assistant principal position at Vista where she is currently assigned.

“Julie has worked at both the elementary and the secondary levels in Ferndale. She has served as classroom teacher, specialist, and administrator. She has had the opportunity to partner with three principals and work with thousands of students. She has also been a parent of children attending the schools in which she works,” said Superintendent Linda Quinn.

“Through all of this, Julie has consistently demonstrated that she has a huge heart for kids, she is a staunch defender of teachers, and she is a loyal colleague. She places a high priority on caring, serving and lifting people up. We will miss her,” Quinn added.

We wish Julie and her family all the best. They will be moving to Idaho to be closer to family members.
