Mr. Joel Francik will be joining the Ferndale School District as the assistant principal for Vista Middle School. “We had a very strong applicant pool for the Vista position, and Joel rose to the top. We are excited about his strong background as a classroom teacher of science, his passion for working with middle schoolers, and his overall positive demeanor. He is going to be a wonderful addition to our district leadership team,” said Superintendent Linda Quinn.
Mr. Francik most recently worked in the Richland School District as a middle school science teacher and athletic director at Enterprise Middle School. Mr. Francik also completed his administrative internship this year at Enterprise. Enterprise Middle School Assistant Principal Derek O’Konek said, “Joel is courageous, loyal, intelligent and genuinely interested in serving others.” Prior to working at Enterprise, Mr. Francik worked in the Mead and Pasco school districts. In both school districts, he was employed as a middle school science teacher.
Mr. Francik earned his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Management Information Systems from Washington State University. He earned his Master in Elementary Education from Whitworth University. He will earn his Educational Administration Credential from Heritage University.
Mr. Francik will be joining the district July 1, 2017.
